Paducah Quilt Retreat is your sewing destination located in Quilt City, Paducah, Kentucky. We have L-shaped sewing spaces in a 1700 sq ft room for your use to sew to your hearts content with a group of like minded sewists. It's an Open Sew Retreat. Make your quilt blocks and tops, clothing, accessories and home décor projects. You don't have to be a member of a guild.
About Paducah Quilt Retreat
Our story and how PQR became to be.
Judy and I were looking for a quilt retreat to attend in our area. We had both been to scrap book retreats and knew retreats were fun. We looked and looked but there were none in our area. We found one in Canton, Georgia, and signed up for September 2023. It was a six hour drive but the retreat met expectations. We had fun, made new friends, and accomplished sewing.
On our six hour drive home, we discussed “why isn’t there a quilt retreat in Paducah?” After all, it is Quilt City USA. After throwing ideas around, we decided we could do this. We prayed about it and talked with hubbies because we knew we couldn’t achieve this without their blessings and help. They were supportive and the first PQR was in November 2023.
Our original Plan was to have four retreats a year. With the response we received, we have seven in 2024 and eight in 2025. We have been blessed by attendees at each retreat.
